- 750ml Glass Bottle
- 15g Agar Agar
- 15g Malt Extract
- 1.5g Nutritional Yeast
- Pressure Cooker
- Aluminum Foil
- Mason Jars
- 25 Petri dishes
Mix 15g Agar Agar, 15g Malt Extract, and 1.5g Nutritional Yeast with 3 cups of warm water in your 750ml bottle.
Then add an aluminum foil topper for ventilation.
Next, place your 750ml bottle in the pressure cooker and fill water to the level of agar in the bottle. (I use mason jars for braces in the pressure cooker.)
Sterilize the agar at 15 PSI for 45 min.
Then let cool just enough to be able to handle and move into a sterile environment and pour agar in petri dishes from the top to the bottom.
Wait for them to cool and wrap with parafilm.
